1. Insufficient voltage or current may cause unstable operation. Please avoid using USB ports similar to the one shown on the left side of the diagram below. If there are issues with the adapter or cable, it may affect the performance of the Hub Mini. As part of troubleshooting, please try using a different 5V1A or 5V2A adapter and replace the cable.
2. The Hub Mini’s power requirements vary depending on Wi-Fi signal strength. If the Hub Mini is placed in an area with weak Wi-Fi signals, it may experience disconnections or delayed responses from the remote. Please move the Hub Mini closer to your Wi-Fi router.
3. Ensure that you are using a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. The Hub Mini does not support 5GHz Wi-Fi. Additionally, it does not support WPA2-PEAP, WPA3-PEAP, WEP, or WPS. We recommend using WPA-PSK or WPA2-PSK.
4. Connection issues may also occur if the router fails to assign an IP address automatically. To resolve this, unplug both the Wi-Fi router and the Hub Mini from power, wait for 10 minutes, and then reconnect them.
5. Please reconfigure the Wi-Fi SSID and password by going to SwitchBot App -> Hub Mini -> Gear Icon -> Wi-Fi Settings -> Edit. Occasionally, due to network conditions or app cache issues, the Wi-Fi SSID may not appear as an option during network setup. In such cases, manual entry is recommended.
6. Please ensure the Hub Mini is updated to the latest firmware version. If the Hub Mini still cannot connect to Wi-Fi after reconfiguring the network, try connecting it to your smartphone’s internet hotspot, updating it to the latest version, and then reconnecting it to your Wi-Fi. If you need assistance with the firmware version, please contact us via SwitchBot App -> Profile -> Support ->Feedback.
7. Please check your firewall settings. If a firewall is enabled, the Hub Mini may not be able to detect your Wi-Fi router.
