- SwitchBot App Version: 8.6.1 or newer
1. Make sure your SwitchBot App version is up to date.
2. Make sure your Hub 2 is connected to 2.4GHz Wi-Fi.
3. If your home Wi-Fi router supports both 5GHz and 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, we recommend disabling the 5GHz Wi-Fi to add your Hub 2.
4. Unplug your home Wi-Fi router and the Hub 2, and then plug them back in after 10 minutes.
5. Try connecting your Hub 2 to your smartphone's tethering. Once you've successfully connected via tethering, we will investigate your home Wi-Fi environment. It woule be helpful if you could provide us with your router brand, model and a screenshot of the router settings.
6. If you are unable to connect to hub 2 via your smartphone hotspot, please contact us via SwitchBot App > Profile > Help & Feedback >Feedback. When contacting us, please provide the following information so that we can escalate your feedback to our development team for further assistance.
- Your router brand
- Your router model
- Router settings details
- A recording of your networking failure
