How to Control Added IR Remote Controls, SwitchBot Devices, and Scenes with SwitchBot KATA Friends

• SwitchBot App Version：9.26 or newer

Before using KATA Friends to control remote controls, SwitchBot devices, or scenes, please make sure the following requirements are met:

• Infrared remote controls added in SwitchBot App
• SwitchBot devices added in SwitchBot App
• Scenes created in SwitchBot App
• SwitchBot App updated to version 9.26 or newer

The helper function of KATA Friends allows you to use supported voice commands in chat mode to have KATA Friends check device status and control devices.  To use the "Helper" feature of KATA Friends, the following conditions must be met:

• Firmware version: 1.2.059 or newer
• Chat mode: enabled

In Chat mode, you can use the voice commands listed in the link below to ask KATA Friends to help control your devices and added infrared remote controls.

If a device cannot be controlled directly by voice command, you can create a SwitchBot Scene and ask KATA Friends to control that scene instead. This can help achieve the same result.
