Feature Overview

The “Family & Friends” is a new feature in KATA Friends. You can add people who are important to you, such as family members or friends, so KATA can better remember key information about them.

After you add someone to the list, KATA can use the information you provide to create a more personalized experience around that relationship. For example, on a listed person’s birthday, KATA may show a special birthday-related response.

How to Set It Up

You can find the “Family & Friends” entry on the device settings page in KATA Friends. From there, you can add or manage information for your family members and friends.

If you do not see the entry yet, it usually means that either the App or the device firmware has not been updated to a version that supports this feature. Please update both the App and the device firmware, then check again.

Notes

Each device currently supports adding up to 10 people to the Family & Friends List.

If you update a person’s birthday information later, the latest information will take effect. If you delete that person from the list, birthday-related responses associated with them will no longer be triggered.

The “Family & Friends” is an additional feature and will not affect KATA’s existing birthday-related features.
