What to Do if the Gesture Control for Kata Friends Is Very Slow or Unresponsive?

1. Please check for any available firmware updates by going to SwitchBot app → KATA Friends → Gear icon → Firmware & Battery. If needed, update the firmware to the latest version located near the device.

2. Restart the device and try again.

3. The surrounding environment may be too noisy or complex, and KATA Friends may not have heard your voice clearly. Please try saying the command again in a louder voice.

4. Try giving clear commands such as “sing,” “dance,” or “say hello” and check whether KATA Friends responds normally. If it does, the previous command may not have been clear or loud enough. Please try again.

5. KATA Friends can recognize specific gestures. For some less clear commands, it is still continuously learning. For gestures that KATA Friends can understand, please refer to the link below. Please note that KATA Friends are still learning more complex gestures and may not be able to understand them yet , so we kindly ask for your understanding.
