- SwitchBot App Version: 9.6 or newer
1. Make sure that the Auto-empty station is placed on a hard, level surface, away from soft surfaces like carpets or foam mat.
2. Make sure the auto-empty station is properly plugged into a power source (When the Auto-empty station is connected to power, the indicator light will remain solid white.).
3. Try unplugging and then plugging back in the auto-empty station.
4. Clean the charging terminals between the S10 main unit and the auto-empty station. Then manually dock the robot to the base to check if it improves.
5. Please update the firmware version of the S10 and auto-empty station to the latest version if you have already added them to the SwitchBot app.
6. If you have tried the above steps and the issue persists, please contact us via SwitchBot App > Profile > Support >Feedback. We will escalate the matter to our R&D team for further investigation. When contacting us, please provide with the following information:
- The Serial Number of your S10 (open the faceplate you will find the SN)

My new S10 just arrived and does not charge.
Its firmware cannot be updated unless the robot is docked and on charge, so, it makes no sense to have that pre-requisite in these "Won't Charge" instructions.
The app animation of the robot docking into the charge station is backwards, by the way. The lidar does not go at the back, it goes at the front - the charging pins are at the back.
