Sign in with Private Email or Hidden Email

For users who use Hide My Email on iOS, there are a few things you should know in advance when using SwitchBot account services.

When you sign in using your Apple account, you can choose to hide your email. In that case, you are automatically registered with a third-party account as well as a random email address.

In the SwitchBot App, you are NOT able to sign in with that random email and a password combination.

If you wish to sign in with a password, you must change your random email address to a regular one first.

Follow these steps,

1. Navigate to Profile > Manage Accounts

2. Tap E-mail and choose Change Email Address

3. Follow the on-screen instructions

After you have changed your email successfully,

1. Navigate to Profile > Manage Accounts again

2. Tap Login Password and choose Change Password

3. Follow the on-screen instructions

I want to sign in with password but I also want my account to be secure enough.

You can enable Two-factor Verification or 2FA to improve the security level of your account.

You can also keep an eye on what devices you have signed in under Profile > Manage Accounts > Manage Login Devices.
