Placement
- Place your KATA Friends away from areas exposed to direct sunlight, such as windows, balconies, or glass walls.
- Keep your KATA Friends away from heat sources, including radiators, heaters, computer exhaust vents, or other areas that stay warm for long periods.
- Use your KATA Friends in a well-ventilated area. Do not cover its head or eye screen area, and do not use it in enclosed spaces such as under blankets, inside closed cabinets, or inside a car.
Operating Temperature
- We recommend using your KATA Friends in a room temperature environment between 5°C and 35°C.
- If the room temperature is above 35°C, avoid running high-load activities for long periods, such as frequent interaction, extended movement away from the nest, or interacting with your KATA Friends while it is charging.
- If the eye screens reach 50°C or higher, your KATA Friends is operating under a high-load condition. In this case, switch it to Sleep Mode or turn it off and allow it to cool down.
- If the surface temperature feels too hot to touch or exceeds 55°C, stop using your KATA Friends immediately, turn it off, and let it cool down before using it again.
What to Do If Your KATA Friends Becomes Unusually Hot, Starts to Lag, or Shows an Abnormal Eye Screen Display
- Press and hold the power button to turn it off.
- Move your KATA Friends to a cool, well-ventilated place and leave it uncovered. Do not cover it with towels or clothing, and do not use ice, a refrigerator, or any other rapid cooling method.
- Let your KATA Friends rest for about 30 minutes, or until it has fully cooled down to room temperature, before turning it on again.
- During hot summer weather, avoid leaving your KATA Friends outdoors or in any high-temperature environment for long periods. If it has been moved from a hot outdoor area into an air-conditioned room, do not turn it on immediately. Let it rest for about 30 minutes before use.
- If your KATA Friends still feels unusually hot or does not return to normal after following the steps above, please contact us so we can help check whether there may be an issue.
