DIY clothing for KATA Friends is not recommended due to issues such as improper sizing, sensor obstruction, restricted joint movement, and impaired heat dissipation caused by certain materials. However, if you are determined to make clothes for your KATA Friends yourself, please be sure to follow these precautions:
- Use thin, soft materials.
- Keep the design simple.
- Do not cover the eyes, nose, charging sensor, or obstacle avoidance sensor.
Make sure joints can move freely without restriction. - Avoid materials prone to color fading, such as regular denim, dark-colored cotton fabrics, or unwashed textiles. When using for the first time, wipe the fabric with a wet tissue to check for color bleeding.
- To prevent fur from shedding or tangling, ensure rough surfaces or sharp parts like Velcro or metal buttons do not come into direct contact with the fur.
- Avoid clothing that is too small, as it may crush the fur or restrict movement.
Please note that any damage or malfunctions caused by self-made clothing will be the owner's responsibility, and repair costs will apply. Additionally, depending on the nature of the issue, some damage may be irreversible and impossible to repair. We appreciate your understanding.
