You can take KATA Friends outdoors for short interactions, such as walks, photos, or camping. Please place it on a clean and stable surface.

Avoid keeping KATA Friends outdoors for a long time. Do not expose it to rain, direct sunlight, or other complex outdoor environments. Please charge it as soon as possible after use.

KATA Friends can still interact with you and take photos outdoors without a network connection. However, due to battery limitations, we recommend keeping outdoor use to 2 to 3 hours.

We do not recommend placing KATA Friends directly on the ground to move around outdoors. Outdoor ground conditions are often complex, with dust, debris, or sharp surfaces that may cause tire wear, chassis wear, sensor wear, or stains on the outer cover. In addition, outdoor maps are not saved in KATA Friends’ internal map in the app, so it may get lost or encounter unknown risks.

We recommend holding KATA Friends by hand, placing it on a flat and clean surface, or using a flat mat for protection.
