Do I Need to Turn on the Location Service for the SwitchBot App？

Applicable product: All SwitchBot products except for the Switchbot Robot Vacuum Cleaner

SwitchBot App version: V6.13 or newer

When the SwitchBot App is upgraded to V6.13 or newer, some authorization settings have been altered, where we do not need to authorize and turn on the Location Service option for the SwitchBot App on your mobile phone. Please refer to the following for detailed information.

1. For Android users, the system should be Android 12 or newer version to not need to turn on the Location Service for the SwitchBot App.

2. For iOS users, it does not need to turn on the Location Service for the App.

3. If we have a SwitchBot Robot Vacuum Cleaner in our account, we need to authorize and turn on the Location Service for the SwitchBot App in order to get the WiFi SSID of the Cleaner itself, regardless of iOS or Android users.
