What warranty policy is offered?
We provide a two-year limited warranty (1 year for any batteries supplied) for SwitchBot S10, which is valid from the date you receive your product. We'd like to also mention that this warranty does not cover damages that arise from negligence, misuse, or issues arising from not using this product in accordance with the instructions provided. What does this limited warranty not cover?
This Limited Warranty does not cover defects or damages caused by (a) consumable parts, such as brushes, roller mops, and batteries, unless the consumable part has been damaged due to a defect in materials or workmanship in a non-consumable part of the Product(s); (b) normal wear and tear and cosmetic damage, including, but not limited to, scratches, dents, and broken plastic; (c) defects or damage caused by misuse; accidents (including, without limitation, collision, fire, and liquid); neglect; abuse; unusual stress; modification; improper or unauthorized repair, installation, wiring, or testing; alterations not approved by us, improper repairs or service, or use of improper parts and accessories not supplied by us; (d) damage caused by operating the product(s) outside the permitted or intended uses described by Switchbot; (e) damage caused by use with non-Switchbot products; (f) any non-Switchbot products, even if packaged or sold with the Product(s); and (g) modifications of the product(s) firmware or software by anyone other than Switchbot. Switchbot reserves the right to disable the product(s) if Switchbot suspects fraud or if Switchbot determines that the product(s) are counterfeit, stolen or lost in shipment. (h) misuse or failure to follow the operating instructions, and failure to perform recommended maintenance; (i) parts that must be replaced periodically; or (j) use in any other manner than normal and expected use. (k) This Limited Warranty does not apply to accessories and other consumable items, such as filters or brushes.
Switchbot is not responsible for damage arising from failure to follow instructions relating to the use of product(s).
You are responsible for proper use of our product; routine preventative maintenance and must follow proper product handling recommendations provided in our instructions manual, quick start guide, and on our website.
How can I resolve a warranty claim?
We will either repair your product (locally if you are based in the US, EU, or Japan) or will replace your product with a new or refurbished one should need be. Should we not be able to do so, a refund of the price you paid for your product (excluding taxes and shipping costs) will be made.
Please note: our warranty policy is designed to cover common major issues and ensure that you use S10 worry-free in most cases. We will also try our best to resolve any issues that may arise. If you have further questions, please contact our support team.
