- SwitchBot App Version: 9.16 or newer
- Firmware Version: 6.6 or newer
1. Make sure our app is up to date.
2. Make sure your Bot has been added to your App and your device firmware version is up to date.
- Firmware version information can be viewed by navigating to SwitchBot App > Bot > Firmware&Battery.
3. Make sure your SwitchBot Bot is compatible with your switch, and avoid touch-slide switches or switches that require more forceful pressing.
4. Turn your smartphone Bluetooth settings on, and get as close to SwitchBot Bot as possible.
If you are using an Android 12 or earlier, make sure Location Services have been allowed for our app.
5. Replace the battery and then try again.
6. Open the back cover lid on your Bot, short-press the reset button in the corner once (do not long-press) to reset SwitchBot Bot.
Note: If you accidentally long-pressed the reset button and the indicator flicks once, remove and reinstall the battery. You will see the indicator light blink once again. Then, briefly press the reset button once to correctly reset SwitchBot Bot.

7. After resetting, turn your smartphone's Bluetooth settings off and on again, and get as close to SwitchBot Bot as possible. Check again to see if that solves the problem.
8. Remove the battery from the Bot and insert the battery while pressing the reset button inside the Bot, then go to SwitchBot App -> Profile -> Firmware Recovery and try recovering the Bot.

- Photo of your switch
- Photo of the Bot installation
- Video showing the bot unable to press the switch
