- SwitchBot App Version:9.10 or newer
1. Make sure your SwitchBot App version is up to date.
2. Make sure SwitchBot Hub 3 has been added to your App and your device firmware version is up to date.
3. Go to SwitchBot App -> Hub 3 -> "+" icon to learn the infrared remotes.
4. When learning the infrared remote control, please pick up the remote and aim it at the infrared receiver of Hub 3 (as shown in the picture below).
5. Since the learning method may differ depending on the model number of the infrared remote control, we will guide you through the following four learning modes "Smart Matching", "Select Manually", "Learn Buttons" and "Others".
"Smart Matching"
- Select the Hub 3
- Tap the "+" icon to add remote control
- Select Home Appliances
- Tap "Smart Matching"
- Move the home appliance remote control closer to Hub 3 and press the power button.
- Test the template that came out until it works
- Save remote control that works flawlessly
"Select Manually"
- Select the Hub 3
- Tap the "+" icon to add remote control
- Select Home Appliances
- Tap "Select Manually"
- Search by entering manufacturer and model number
- Test the template that comes out
- If it works fine, save the remote
"Learn Buttons"
- Select the Hub 3
- Tap the "+" icon to add remote control
- Select Home Appliances
- Tap "Learn Buttons"
- Learn each button one by one
- Save Remote Control
"Others"
In "Others" mode, you can freely add buttons for the remote control, and you can also freely name the learned buttons. It is most recommended for those who have a DIY remote control or button.
- Select the Hub 3
- Tap the "+" icon to add remote control
- Tap "Others" at the bottom of the "Choose an appliance" screen
- Name and save the remote
- Tap the edit icon in the upper right corner
- Tap "+" icon to learn the button
- After the indicator lamp on the Hub 3 unit turns off, press the remote control button once and wait until the indicator lamp flashes.
- If the button is recognized, you will see a success suggestion, tap "Test" to check if the appliance is actually working. If it doesn't respond, re-register with "Learn Again".
- After learning all the buttons, name and save the remote control. This completes the registration.
Note:
For Others modes and custom-added buttons, it is not possible to set the button name as a number from 1 to 100. Example: Button name: 1 (x), Button name: N1 (√)
