Use SwitchBot Hub 3 to Control Your IR AV Receiver and Apple TV without Switching Between Devices

• SwitchBot App Version: 9.10 or newer

Preparation

Before using the Hub 3 to control your AV receiver (We will illustrate this using Denon AV receiver as an example), you will need the following:

• SwitchBot Hub 3
• Denon AV receiver
• Denon Remote

Setup

1. Make sure your SwitchBot App version is up to date.

2. Make sure your Hub 3 has been added to SwitchBot App.

3. Pair your Bluetooth remote, such as Apple TV or Fire TV, with the Hub 3.

4. Add AV receiver infrared shortcuts for Apple TV (or Fire TV) that you want to control in the following order:

• Launch SwitchBot App and log in.
• Tap Hub 3.
• Tap the paired Bluetooth remote like Apple TV.
• Choose the button you want to set up.
• Tap the "+" icon in the upper right corner on "Edit Butoon" screen.
• Tap "Manually Learn".
• Select the Hub 3 under your account.
• Take out your IR remote control, point it at the Hub and press the IR button you want to learn.
• Follow the on-screen steps to test and save it.

After the above setup, you can also control your AV receiver directly when controlling your apple tv, no need to switch between different devices.
