- SwitchBot App Version: 8.1 or newer
1. Make sure your SwitchBot App version is up to date.
2. Make sure SwitchBot Lock/Lock Pro has been added to your App.
3. Here is how to turn on App Notifications for your SwitchBot Lock/Lock Pro:
- Launch the SwitchBot App and log in.
- Tap on "Profile" at the bottom right.
- Tap on "Notifications".
- Tap on the gear icon at the top right.
- Turn on "App Notifications."
4. Here is how to set up Alerts for SwitchBot Lock/Lock Pro:
- Launch the SwitchBot App and log in.
- Tap on the relevant SwitchBot Lock/Lock Pro.
- Tap on the gear icon at the top right.
- Tap on "Alerts" in the Settings screen.
- Enable "Door Ajar Warning" and set the specified time.
- Enable "Left Unlocked Warning" and set the specified time.
5. With the settings in step 4, when the specified time is reached, the SwitchBot Lock device itself will beep three times. When used in conjunction with the SwitchBot Hub series products, you will receive a notification on your smartphone in addition to the beep sound.
Note:
- For iOS devices, if you're using the SwitchBot App and don't receive notifications at the set time, it's not a bug. This is due to a limitation with the iOS system: notifications won't be delivered if you are actively using the SwitchBot App at the time the notification is scheduled to be sent. iOS only sends app notifications when the app is running in the background or the device is locked, among other conditions. So, if you remain in the SwitchBot App when the conditions for a notification are met, you will not receive the notification.
- There are no such restrictions for Android devices.
