Note:
- Starting from iOS 18, legacy widgets are no longer supported. For detailed information about this change, we recommend contacting Apple directly.
- A SwitchBot Hub is required to control the Bot using widgets.
Setup method:
1. Make sure your SwitchBot App version is up to date.
2. Make sure your Bot and Hub have been added to your App and your device firmware version is up to date.
3. If you are using the SwitchBot App V8.8 or earlier, enable the Bot's cloud service by going to SwitchBot App -> Bot -> cloud service. If you are using the SwitchBot App V9.0 or later, when the Bot is placed near the hub product, it will automatically connect to the hub product and become networked.
4. Add a Widget.
iOS:
- Open the SwitchBot App.
- Tap "Profile".
- Select "Widget Settings".
- Add the Bot and save it.
5. Add widgets in the following order on your iPhone.
- Touch and hold an empty area on the Home Screen until the apps jiggle.
- Tap "Edit" in the upper left corner. (If you're using an older iOS version, a "+" icon may appear in the upper right corner.)
- Tap "Add Widget".
- Input SwitchBot and Search.
- Follow the on-screen steps to add your Bot to the Widget.
