High Temperature Operation Guidelines for SwitchBot Keypad

With firmware V1.7, if the surrounding temperature reaches 60°C (140°F) or higher, the facial recognition feature will automatically disable to ensure device safety and long-term durability. You cannot manually reactivate it until the temperature drops below the limit. While facial recognition remains temporarily unavailable, you can still unlock your door lock using passwords, fingerprints, or NFC cards.

(For Keypad Vision Pro, high temperature environments can also cause palm vein recognition to temporarily fail.)

To help avoid high-temperature interruptions, we recommend relocating the device to a shaded area or installing a sunshade bracket. These adjustments can significantly reduce heat exposure and allow the device to function normally.
