Preparation
Before setting up devices using Matter, you will need the following:
- SwitchBot Lock Pro Matter Enabled
- iPhone
- Homepod or Apple TV
Note: Any home hub compatible with iOS 18.4 or later is acceptable. For further details regarding
home hubs, we suggest contacting Apple directly. Please refer here to set up your home hub.
Setup
1. Make sure your SwitchBot App version is up to date.
2. Make sure SwitchBot Lock Pro Matter Enabled has been added to your App and your device firmware version is up to date.
3. Make sure all devices (your iPhone, HomePod/Apple TV, and Lock Pro Matter Enabled) are connected to the same 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network.
4. Copy the setup code by going to Switch Bot App -> Your Lock Pro Matter Enabled -> Gear Icon (Settings screen) ->Matter Setup.
5. On the "How to Set Up Matter" screen, follow the on-screen instructions to copy the matter setup code.
6. Open Apple Home App -> Tap "Add or scan Accessory" in the upper right corner -> Tap "More options" -> Tap "My Accessory isn't shown here" at the bottom of the screen -> Tap "Enter Code" -> Paste the code to continue the whole process.
7. You can scan the QR code on the Lock Pro Matter Enabled device to add it to the Apple Home app.
