When enabled, the Window Detect function monitors for sudden temperature drops. If the temperature falls by more than 6°C (42.8°F) within 4 minutes, the device considers this a window-open event. It will display "OP" on the screen and close the valve automatically. This helps prevent energy waste when a window is left open.
The device will exit this window-open state and return to normal temperature control once any of the following conditions are met:
- The temperature rises by 3°C (37.4°F) within 4 minutes
- The window-open state has lasted for more than 48 minutes
- The temperature source is switched
- The Window Detect function is turned off
Important Note:
- For more precise window detection, we recommend using our Contact Sensor together with your Smart Radiator Thermostat in automations.
- If you have already set up automations involving the Contact Sensor and thermostat, we suggest disabling the built-in Window Detect function on the device itself. Running both simultaneously may result in conflicting commands.
- Automation features require a hub.
