Smart Schedule is a new feature for SwitchBot Hub 2 that manages the indoor temperature of your home via an existing air conditioner remote control. When enabled, it helps the household reduce energy bills while maximizing the comfortness.
Temp Control Mode
This is a brand new control mode that focuses on temperature control. You can set the default view of Hub 2's function page to this mode and you can switch between two modes.
Schedule
Note: Please disable any automations first that contain actions of your AC to avoid scheduling conflicts.
This is a dedicated scheduling system for temperature controls. It allows the room temperature to be maintained at a constant value to maximize comfortness. On each day in a week, you can set up to five different modes, Home, Away, Sleep, Comfort, and Custom Mode. In each mode, you will set a target cooling temperature and a heating temperature, which adapts to summer and winter schedule.
Tips:
Set Temp Settings > Min. On/Off Time to longer duration if you want your AC turn on or off less frequently.
Set Temp Settings > Margin to a smaller number if you want your AC maintain at a room temperature more precisely.
Manual Hold
Adjust the temperature manually and your set schedule will be ignored until the hold is dismissed or expires.
Presence Sensing
If you own one or more SwitchBot Motion Sensors, it is recommended to enable this feature to save more energy by automatically turning off the air conditioner when you are away from home.
When all of the motion sensors detect no motion for 2 hours, Hub 2 will automatically switch to Away Mode.
Auto Learning
Our app will learn from your daily adjustments based on the past 14-day time window to create a personalized tempearture schedule recommendation.
When you enable Smart Schedule, the Auto Learning option is enabled by default.
In the first 7 days, it will trigger schedule recommendation and push you a notification if any of the following conditions are met,
- You have performed similar AC control actions for 3 days during any workday
- You have performed similar AC control actions on both Saturday and Sunday
For example, if your AC is turned on on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday at 9:00AM, Hub 2 would recommend to turn on your AC on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday at 9:00AM in the future.
In the upcoming 7 days and the time ahead, it will trigger schedule recommendation and push you a notification if any of the following conditions are met,
- You have performed similar AC control actions on the same day at a similar time compared to last week
For example, if your AC is turned on Tuesday at 10:00AM and at the same day and same time from the previous week, Hub 2 would recommend to turn on your AC on every Tuesday at 10:00AM.
