1. Make sure your SwitchBot App version is up to date.

2. Make sure SwitchBot Outdoor Spotlight Cam has been added to your App.

3. In the SwitchBot App, go to the relevant SwitchBot Outdoor Spotlight Cam → gear icon → Motion Detection → Enable Motion Detection.

4. Here is how to turn on Motion Detection Notifications for your SwitchBot Outdoor Spotlight Cam:

  • Launch the SwitchBot App and log in.
  • Tap on "Profile" at the bottom right.
  • Tap on "Notifications".
  • Tap on the gear icon at the top right.
  • Turn on "App Notifications".
  • Turn on "Device Notifications".
  • Tap on "Notification Management" located below "Notifications".
  • If you have multiple homes, switch to the home where the SwitchBot Outdoor Spotlight Cam is located at the top left.
  • Turn on "Allow Notifications".
  • Tap on the relevant SwitchBot Outdoor Spotlight Cam.
  • Turn on "Allow Notifications".
  • Turn on "Motion Alarms".

Note:

  • For "Motion Alarms", the SwitchBot Outdoor Spotlight Cam's "Motion Detection" feature needs to be turned on.
  • You can turn off "Motion Alarms" in the same order.
  • You can choose "Show events only" or "Show images and events" independently.

5. With the settings in steps 3 and 4, you will receive notifications on your smartphone when motion is detected.
