Can't add motion sensor

Bought 2 motion sensors, first one was a flawless set-up and works brilliantly the second refused to be added, then I found the option for a firmware recovery for the uncooprative motion sensor, upon clicking "recover" its shows "Upload failed error: device not found"  ... help  

and yes I do have a hub mini
