Why does my SwitchBot Curtain stop halfway through operation?

  • Applicable products: Curtain U Rail, Curtain I Rail, Curtain Rod
  • SwitchBot App version: V6.15 or newer
  • SwitchBot Curtain Firmware Version: V4.6 or newer
  1. Make sure our app is up to date.
  2. Ensure SwitchBot Curtain is added to your SwitchBot account, and its firmware version is up to date to fix potential issues.
 
Please note: if you are using firmware that is not version 4.6 or later version, please go Profile → Feedback, and submit a feedback ticket to ask for the latest firmware upgrade.
 
  1. Each type of SwitchBot Curtain has a different maximum load-bearing capacity. Please refer to the maximum weight of the corresponding SwitchBot Curtain model you are using below:
  • Curtain U Rail: Up to 8 Kg
  • Curtain I Rail: Up to 8 Kg
  • Curtain Rod: 5 Kg to 8 Kg
  1. If you are using SwitchBot Curtain U Rail 2, please change your device wheels to see if your issue improves. If you are using SwitchBot Curtain U Rail (1st Gen) or need accessories separately, please log in to our app → Profile → Feedback and ask our support team for help.
  2. If you are using SwitchBot Curtain Rod, please check the following information to see if the problem is improved:

  1. If all of the above does not improve or fix your issue, please submit a feedback ticket by navigating to Profile > tap Feedback > select the product that you need support for > describe your issue in detail (with media if needed), we recommend submitting the following:
  • Detailed dimensions of your curtain rail
  • A Cross-sectional photo of your curtain rail
