  • SwitchBot app Version:  6.19 or newer
  • Device firmware version:  V6.3 or newer

1. Make sure your SwitchBot App version is up to date.
2. Make sure your device has been added to the SwitchBot App and the device firmware version is up to date.

  • The firmware version can be viewed here: SwitchBot app homepage > Tap the device > Tap Settings in the upper right corner >  In the sub menu, tap Firmware and Battery.

3. Make sure your bot is compatible with the switch, avoid forceful presses with strong mechanisms switches, and touch-slide switches.

4. Turn your mobile phone's Bluetooth on, and get as close to the Bot as possible.

  • If you are using an Android 12 or earlier, make sure Location Service have been authorized for SwitchBot App.

5. Make sure the remaining battery of the Bot is above 50%, the Bot does not have enough strength when the power isn't sufficient.

6. If it still doesn't work, follow the steps to reset Bot:

  1. Open the Bot back cover lid.
  2. Short-press the reset button in the corner ONCE (Do NOT long-press).
  3. You'll see the indicator flash ONCE to confirm the reset completed.
  4. If you accidentally long-pressed the reset button, the indicator flicks once. Remove the battery and install it again.
  5. You will see the indicator light blink once. After that, short-press the reset button once briefly to reset the Bot.

7. After the reset, turn your mobile phone's Bluetooth off and on again, and get as close to the Bot as possible. Check again to see if that solves the problem.

8. If it still doesn't work, please send a feedback ticket by following the steps below:

  1. Take a close-up photo of installation position including the Bot and switch/button.
  2. Brand, model, and online purchase link (If possible) of your switch/button.
