This guide listed some normal troubles while using the U rail curtain.

 

  • My Curtain could not work smoothly. 

 

Curtain's motor is running but doesn't move. 

Curtain's power is weak or running slowly. 

Curtain gets stuck while running. 

 

Please kindly take a video of the Curtain issue and send feedback via the SwitchBot app so that we could solve it for you as soon as possible.

Caution:

We need to check the motor of the Curtain to identify the issue. Please take the Curtain off from the rail and use the app to control the Curtain so that we could see the Curtain wheel clearly. 

If the Curtain's power is weak, please use your finger to stop the wheel while it is running and take the video of it so that we could identify the issue. 

 

  • One of my Curtain could not run as fast as the others do.
  • One of the Curtains in the same Curtain group is slower than another one.

 

Please kindly take a video of the Curtain issue and send feedback via the SwitchBot app so that we could solve it for you as soon as possible.

If this issue happens in a Curtain group, please switch the two Curtains and see if this was caused by the motor issue. 

 

Caution:

  • My Curtain could not run to the correct position.

 

1. Please check if the firmware of the Curtain is V3.2. 

 Tap the Curtain icon and then tap more. Then tap the gear icon upright on the page to check the firmware. 

 If you could not update the firmware, please kindly send feedback via the SwitchBot app so that we could send the upgrade package to you. 

2. If you are using two Curtains, please switch the two devices and see if the issue could be fixed.

 

If this issue could not be fixed, please kindly take a video of the curtain issue and send feedback via the SwitchBot app so that we could solve it for you as soon as possible.

  • The schedule could not work properly.

Q: The schedule will be later or earlier than before.

A: Please sync the time of the Curtain every 5 days.

Open the schedule list near the Curtain, and it will sync the time with your phone automatically. 

If the Curtain could not work as the schedule set, please send feedback via the SwitchBot app so that we could check it for you as soon as possible.

 

  • I can't set up my Curtain.

First of all, please check the below article first.

  • The Curtain could not fit with my curtain rail.

First of all, please follow the instructions below to check if your Curtain could be set up from the side.

If the Curtain could not be put in the curtain rail, please kindly provide us the measurements as the below picture shows and submit feedback via the SwitchBot app.

Also, a close picture of the rail or a picture of a cross-section of the rail would be helpful for us to make a precise analysis. Please refer to the following sketch to take a similar photo.

  • The light sensor does not work. No light sensing data.

1. Please check if the sun could provide direct sunlight to the sensor.

2. Please check if the firmware of the Curtain is V3.2. 

Tap the Curtain icon and then tap more. Then tap the gear icon upright on the page to check the firmware. 

 If you could not update the firmware, please kindly send feedback via the SwitchBot app so that we could send the upgrade package to you. 

 

Caution:

1. The light-sensing data will show Lv 1 - Lv 2 at midnight. Cloudy days are at about Lv 3 - Lv 4. 

2. If a voile is between the Curtain and the window, the light-sensing will be weakened. 

If the issue could not be solved, please kindly take a photo of how is the Curtain be installed at the window and then send feedback via the SwitchBot app so that our tech team could check it for you.
